The ASA Eagles play a significant role in our movement – helping to determine which entrepreneurs Americans Serving Americans will fund, offering mentorship to those entrepreneurs, and even offering useful advice to those who are not chosen to be funded by ASA. Each of the Eagles are successful business leaders and experts in their own fields. It is our pleasure to introduce you to some of them today.
Jeff Hoffman is a successful entrepreneur, proven CEO, worldwide motivational speaker, published author, film producer, and a producer of a Grammy-winning jazz album in 2015. He has been the founder of multiple startups, has been the CEO of both public and private companies, and has served as a senior executive in many capacities. Jeff has been part of a number of well-known companies, including Priceline.com. uBid.com, ColorJar, and more.
Jeff serves on the boards of companies in the US, Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia, supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses in more than 150 countries. He also serves on the boards of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Unreasonable Group, and Global 1000. He supports the White House, the US State Department, the United Nations, and foreign governments on economic growth initiatives and entrepreneurship.
Jeff is a frequent keynote speaker, having been invited to speak in over 50 countries, on the topics of innovation, entrepreneurship, and business leadership. He is the co-author of the book SCALE, a how-to guide for growing your business. Jeff also teaches innovation workshops to major corporations on a regular basis.

Evander is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 2011. He reigned as the undisputed champion in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions, being the first and to date only boxer in history to do so, which earned him the nickname of "The Real Deal". Holyfield is the only four-time world heavyweight champion, having held the WBA, WBC, IBF, and lineal titles from 1990 to 1992; the WBA, IBF, and lineal titles again from 1993 to 1994; the WBA title from 1996 to 1999; the IBF title from 1997 to 1999; and the WBA title for a fourth time from 2000 to 2001.
He attracted a lot of attention for his footwork, not his punches, appearing as a contestant in 2005 on Dancing with the Stars, the television competition that teams up celebrities with professional dancers. His memoir, Becoming Holyfield: A Fighter's Journey, was released in 2008. Holyfield was inducted in the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame in August 2014. Mike Tyson presented him with his trophy.
Off stage and out the ring, Mr. Holyfield devotes some of his time to his entrepreneurial ventures and helping young people. The Holyfield Foundation supports numerous programs for inner-city children.
La Detra White
La Detra grew up in Salt Lake City to a single parent and was the first in her family to attend college. She attended both Howard University and Harvard Business School and has built her career as a successful marketing consultant in communications. She’s been married for 24 years and has two beautiful children. La Detra is active in church, has traveled to over 35 countries, and thoroughly enjoys community service. She has a passion for teaching, speaking and facilitating, especially to young people.
Her goal in life is to be a great ambassador to the world of God’s goodness in her life. Recently, she started The Putting Your Money Where Your Heart Is Project, a movement that encourages communities to support small businesses. Thus far, the movement has reached over two million people, and the featured businesses have all reported a surge in revenue. People from all over the country have taken notice to La Detra’s take charge spirit in this philanthropic movement.
Furthermore, La Detra uses her Facebook platform of over 40k people to expose struggling businesses to a slew of potential customers. To date, La Detra has performed sixteen ambushes and her Facebook Live videos have reached over 2.3 million people. La Detra’s efforts have been highlighted in The Film: Black Friday alongside celebrities like Cynthia Bailey, Hill Harper, and Johnny Gill, she’s acquired two cover slots for Women of More Magazine and UrbanLuxe Magazine, and has received four honors in respect to her work including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama.
Mr. Felt is a serial entrepreneur. He has launched businesses in health, software, consulting services, data science, risk management, e-commerce, lead generation, product development, real estate, and online acquisition. His holdings have included auto dealerships, event companies, skincare, and education. In 2001 Mr. Felt co-founded the Award-Winning Marketing Agency FAME. LLC (Felt Advertising & Marketing Enterprises) with Bruce Whiting of Law.com (and 2002 House of Representatives Congressional Candidate) and Incubate.com, a startup accelerator with mammothmedia.com, Kaibab industries, and others. Through his endeavors at FAME, Mr. Felt acquired nationwide contracts for strategic launches and business development with Big O Tires, Papa John’s, Papa Murphy’s, Delta Airlines, Chili’s, T.G.I. Fridays, and countless other businesses. In 2005 Mr. Felt created a strategic partnership with Kevin Harrington from ABC’s hit show Shark Tank, and his company TV Goods, now AsSeenOnTv.com. Through this unique partnership they were able to launch brands and products with George Foreman, 50Cent, Vanilla Ice, Hulk Hogan, HSN.com, QVC.com, and Target.com. In 2007 Mr. Felt set the internet record for the highest per day website/product launch, hitting a record $3.7M in less than 6 hours.
