What You May Have Missed at the ASA Official Launch Event
On January 20th of this year, hundreds of people from all over the country gathered at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, to celebrate a momentous occasion – the Official Launch of the ASA Movement!
Organized and hosted by Vice President and creator of the ASA Movement, Mr. David Ashby, the event was filled with the excitement of ASA members who were able to make it to Georgia and meet, for the very first time in person, other members of the movement that they had created lasting friendships with online. Mr. Ashby spared no expense even having delicious food catered in to feed the hundreds of members in attendance during the two-day event. We heard from some amazing people about why they are so passionate about our movement and what it is that compelled them to join hands with us in putting an end to povertism. The Corporate Staff and film crew moved seamlessly to make sure that everything went off without a hitch and each and every one of them deserve praise for the amazing job that they did. Some of the first entrepreneurs hoping to receive funding from the movement were able to take the stage and present their businesses to the members, corporate staff, and some of the ASA Eagles. A few of the entrepreneurs walked away with funding deals and those who did not get deals walked away with great advice about how they can take their businesses to the next level. We even had a surprise appearance by Mr. Dan Cathy, owner and CEO of the Chick-fil-A chain of restaurants, who showed up out of the blue and took the stage to express his appreciation and support for Mr. Ashby and the ASA Movement as a whole.
ASA Eagles who took the stage on Saturday, January 20th, included Mr. Evander Holyfield – Entrepreneur and the Worlds ONLY four-time Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Miss Forbes Riley – Hollywood Actress and Infomercial Queen, and Miss La Detra White – Published Author and Government Contract Specialist.
Closing out the ASA Launch Event on Sunday Morning, Mr. Ashby took the stage, bowed his head, and invited the members to join him in prayer. It was an incredibly touching moment and it would have been a real task to find a dry eye in the room as he spoke the word of the Lord and asked for guidance on his journey to help end povertism with the help of God, the ASA Members, Corporate Staff, Eagles, and Entrepreneurs. After our moment of prayer, the ASA Launch Event was closed out with celebration, pictures, and lots of hugs all around.
If you’re not excited, you’d better get excited!
